Hookanory Mini Monster C.A.L. Day #3 – The Body Part!

It’s Day #3 of the Hookanory Mini Monster C.A.L, and Today is a super dooper egg-citing day because it’s time for the body and face!!!
I played around with this quite a bit before I was happy because I wanted my Franken-egg to have a proper flat top to his head, and because he’s so small and egg-shaped, I was finding it wasn’t really showing up how I’d like. So I did a black loop only round and started the flat section a bit lower down than my previous version (see previous post with the Scheepjes Catona version which was my first prototype). And now I think he’s got a good balance of creepy versus cute, what do you think?

Anyway I hope you are enjoying making your monster, it’s a nice quick fun make, and because he’s a scrappy monst-egg, it doesn’t matter if you don’t have the same colours I used, you could make him with each limb in a different yarn, all you need to bear in mind is keeping the yarn weights the same throughout, unless you want one arm or leg bigger than the other, in which case, go for it!
