MINI MONSTER C.A.L. -DAY #4 – The Nuts and Bolts!

EDIT – PLEASE NOTE COMPETITION IS NOW ENDED – PDF PATTERN CAN BE DOWNLOADED FROM MY ETSY SHOP HERE

It’s Day #4 of the Hookanory Mini Monster C.A.L,

A nice easy day today, making those iconic neck bolts to keep the Egg’s noggin on, which will give you a chance to catch up if you’ve just found us!

I used a tiny bit of metallic acrylic yarn from Aldi – but you could use just grey or maybe a bit of glitter or lurex yarn if you have some, don’t worry if it’s a bit thin, you can always strand it together to make a comparable weight yarn to DK!

BOLT-ON!

Making these bolts is a little bit fiddly and you want to be careful not to mess up the shape of the end when weaving in the ends so I advise weaving the top one down through the shaft of the bolt and then use both ends to secure the bolt to the side of Franken-egg’s head! I pulled the thread right through to the other side and then back again, pulling it tight before weaving it in made the bolt stand proud.
